The Edmond Police Department’s investigation started when Colby Reyes, 20, stole a car from a gas station.
“(He) left a cellphone in it luckily, because that was one way we could track down the suspect,” said Jenny Wagnon, with the police department.
The cellphone had a GPS tracking system in it, allowing officers to located it in a parking lot near a wooded area. Police searched the area when they heard rustling in the woods, which is when they found a suspect hiding in the trees.
